Live Music in the TriCities All Summer Long

The Lower Mainland has historically been blessed with great weather in July and August. This means warmth and longer hours of sunshine. We think the best way to spend these months is to be outdoors. Lucky for you, there will be outdoor live music in the TriCities all summer long!

Music on the Grill Concert Series

The first live music event in the area will be on Saturday July 8. This is actually part of the Music on the Grill concert series, which allows you to enjoy a BBQ dinner while you listen to talented musicians. If you end up liking the event, there are two more concerts in the series that will happen in July and August. Drop by the Evergreen Cultural Centre because that’s where all the action will be.

Free Outdoor Concert Series

Forget driving hours to attend a festival or spending hundreds of dollars to attend a concert. Just head over to the Town Centre Park Plaza for a series of free outdoor concerts! With all the events going on, it might be worth investing in some lawn chairs and picnic mats so that you can get comfortable as you watch these performances. If you’re a little more on the spontaneous side and don’t feel like packing a basket and having a picnic, you can also just drop by if you’re in the area. You have nothing to lose – admission is 100% free, so why not? There will be one concert a month from now until September so you have plenty of opportunities to check it out. You won’t even have to worry about bringing your own food because there are food trucks to keep your stomach satisfied.

Kaleidoscope Arts Festival

If 6 concerts aren’t enough to keep you busy this summer, then we might as well tack one more on. The Kaleidoscope Arts Festival is one that you don’t want to miss because it features all types of talent – dancers, artists, and musical acts. This is a one-day only full-day event, so make sure to save the date: August 12. As with most events in the TriCities, you can expect food trucks and craft beer there. Admission is free, so your friends and family with you!

Clearly, there’s a lot going on this summer and you’ve got a full schedule ahead of you. How about you get ahead of all the planning and book your stay with us!
